As the largest heating company in China, CHN Energy's heating installed capacity has reached 130 million kilowatts, with an annual heating output exceeding 550 million gigajoules, accounting for one-eighth of the country's total centralized heating. CHN Energy leverages the advantages of integrated coal, power and transportation, increasing the supply of heat to heating regions. By coordinating rail and truck transportation, CHN Energy ensures a stable and adequate supply of coal to heating power plants, ensuring safe and stable production.
CHN Energy has taken multiple measures to improve the quality of heating services. For example, it has established the country's largest power generation-side database, enabling timely delivery of heating analysis, climate trend changes and risk alerts, making the heating supply process more intelligent and precise.
CHN Energy is also actively investing in efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plants and heating network projects. It is accelerating the renovation of existing heating units and fully utilizing the energy-saving, environmental protection and emission reduction benefits of centralized heating. In 2024, it is implementing intelligent centralized heating projects in Yinchuan, Hebei and more than ten other provinces and regions, such as the long-distance heat transmission pipelines from Shijiazhuang to Beijing. After being put into operation, these projects will add 148 million square meters of residential heating coverage. Additionally, CHN Energy is increasing efforts on the renovation of coal-fired power units, completing high-quality heating upgrades for 7.07 million kilowatts of capacity, and adding 2,195 megawatts of heating capacity to key areas, continuously enhancing clean heating capabilities.
