In September this year, the near-zero carbon park project jointly developed by CHN Energy and Dongfang Electronics Corporation officially commenced operations. This innovative project leverages cutting-edge technologies and digital solutions to make the park's energy consumption observable, measurable, adjustable and controllable.

Located in Yantai, east China's Shandong province, the park features solar PV carports and rooftop PVs that provide electricity for production, office work and daily living needs.

The park integrates carport PVs, energy storage and EV charging stations in a unified design, alongside the intelligent upgrades of its central air conditioning and power distribution systems. Furthermore, the construction of a low-carbon smart energy management platform enables coordinated optimization of green energy for both production and daily life, establishing a near-zero carbon smart park. Solar PV carports primarily power the park's EV charging stations, while rooftop PVs and wind turbines supplement green electricity for production and office operations.

The park showcases significant economic and environmental benefits. Annual revenues from PV power and energy storage are projected to reach 253,300RMB and 147,000 RMB, respectively. Smart PV streetlights are expected to save 8,000 RMB in electricity costs annually, while operational and maintenance expenses could be reduced by approximately 120,000 RMB each year. Moreover, the park is connected to Yantai’s virtual power plant, the first city-level virtual power plant in China, contributing 1.3 million kWh of green electricity annually and reducing carbon emissions by 1,300 tons. This initiative plays a vital role in advancing the enterprise's green transition and sustainability goals.
